Just a quick post to let you see our new tree and ornaments!!! Although this made us miss yall even more, putting it up was great and a good way to really feel at home here and remember what time of year this is. It helps us to feel a bit connected with everyone there a bit more, and it also helps us remember our connection to The one who is The reason for the season!! When I look at the tree (although it is fake), I realized that we traditionally use Evergreen trees, i.e. trees that are green year around. This makes me think of the unending, eternally renewed life we have been given! The red at the bottom of the tree and in the ornaments remind me of the price it took to receive this blessed life. The star at the top reminds me of the way he came into the world and the marvelous signs that were given to our friends about his comming. The multicolored and diverse lights on the tree give a sign of who we can be in our new lives, and are shining bright. And as we remember the new birth of our beloved one, it is great that we use a tree, because it was a tree that eventually lead to our new birth in him! Love you guys and miss you very much!
